Hi, I’m glad you’re here!

My name is Amy Goymerac and I’m passionate about helping others find their healthiest, truest, most efficient way of voicing. Whether you’re a singer, you use your speaking voice professionally, or you’re “just” a person that speaks(!), I’m here to help you connect with your voice in a way that not only eliminates harm but that actually amplifies your purpose and goals. I’ve been a professional opera singer for over 10 years, I’m a certified vocologist and a singing voice specialist working privately and at the collegiate level for over 8 years. I look forward to helping you find the way you want to use your voice!

What is Vocology?

Vocology is the science and practice of vocal habilitation, or in other words, training the voice to be the most healthy, efficient and effective it can be. As a vocologist, I provide vocal strengthening and conditioning to help you build confidence and achieve your vocal goals.

Who would benefit from vocal coaching with a Vocologist?

Anyone that uses their voice! In particular, if your profession relies heavily on voice use, you may wish to have the requisite skills to protect and augment that critical element of your work.

  • Teachers

  • Coaches

  • Corporate Executives

  • Conductors

  • Actors

  • Broadcasters

  • Clergy

  • Keynote Speakers

  • Politicians

  • Podcasters

  • Administrative workers

  • Receptionists

What is vocal coaching like with a Vocologist?

In our work together, I will assess the issue that brings you to vocal coaching, we will find the source of the problem, clarify the end goal, and provide specific exercises and gentle homework for you to see improvement. We will focus on outlining the desired outcome, short and long-term goals, and creating an action plan. You will learn healthy breathing, reliable voicing, comfortable communicating and general vocal health.

Are you a speech therapist?

No, Vocologists are not licensed Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Otolaryngologists (ENTs). We cannot provide medical diagnoses or treat illnesses or disorders. However, as a vocologist, I can work as part of your voice care team. Where the medical field leaves off treating you to return to regular voice function, a vocologist takes over by strengthening your voice to succeed and excel in a given task.

Do you offer gender-affirming care and what is it?

Yes. In our setting, gender-affirming care is specific vocal coaching that gives you the tools to safely and authentically adjust elements of your voice to meet your desired goal. We work together to outline the desired vocal outcome and I assign gentle homework to help you safely and effectively meet your goal. It can also be extremely helpful to do this vocal coaching alongside any process of hormonal integration. The most important thing is to keep your voice safe and true to you!

I look forward to working with you!
